Britney claims she had an abortion during relationship with Justin Timberlake in bombshell memoir

Britney Spears is dropping her bombshell memoir later this month, in it the popstar claims she fell pregnant while dating singer Justin Timberlake, and was forced to get an abortion.

The Woman In Me, drops on 24 October, and is Spears’ story told on her own terms after years of being under a strict conservatorship by her family.

Britney’s memoir is an unfiltered rendition of the toll fame took on her, how media crushed her soul, and how she’s finally free.

She met Justin at the age of 11, when the two were cast in the Mickey Mouse Club, saying they immediately connected.

Justin was dared to kiss Britney at a sleepover, and the two dated between 1999 to 2002, during their late teens and into their early adulthood.

In her bombshell memoir, Britney says Justin, who was a member of the boyband N’Sync, was not happy that she had fallen pregnant and told her they were too young to be parents.

Justin and Britney were both rising stars at the time, but the mother of two (Britney has two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline) says if the decision was left to her alone, she would not have gone through with the abortion.

“For me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.

The pregnancy was a surprise for me, it wasn’t a tragedy.”

Justin Timberlake is married to actress Jessica Biel, and the couple have two sons.

Justin Timberlake has not made a comment about the claims.

In 2003, shortly after her breakup with Justin, Britney released the haunting ballad, Everytime. This was the first song the Hit Me Baby One More Time hitmaker wrote.

The official music video for the song had people believing the song was about her breakup with the boyband sensation, as it depicts an unhappy couple in the limelight.

But, since teasing her memoir, fans have revisited the music video which ends with two women in a hospital, one who dies, and one who has just given birth.

This has convinced die-hard Britney fans that the song was Britney’s way of dealing with the pain of having an abortion.

Lyrics to Everytime

“And every time I try to fly I fall
Without my wings
I feel so small
I guess I need you baby
And every time I see
You in my dreams
I see your face
You’re haunting me
I guess I need you baby

I may have made it rain
Please forgive me
My weakness caused you pain
And this song’s my sorry”
