Black Coffee attends SONA 2024 with a neck brace following a plane accident.
South African music lovers were thrilled to see Grammy Award winner DJ Black Coffee, making his first public appearance since his recent plane accident.
At Thursday night’s State of the Nation (SONA) speech in Cape Town, he was spotted with one of his sons among the guests in attendance.

Black Coffee last updated his fans on the 15th of January, on the day he was discharged from hospital.

According to reports he was traveling from Brazil to Argentina in January when the incident happened on his private plane. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Uruguay’s Montevideo Airport due to severe air turbulence, resulting in him suffering significant injuries.
“The incident resulted in unforeseen complications and left him with injuries. We can confirm he is receiving the best possible medical attention and is surrounded by family and team [members]. In respect of his privacy, we kindly request understanding and patience from the media and his fans,” read a statement shared on his social media page
