Real Housewives of Cape Town (RHOCT) star Beverley Steyn has confirmed that she has taken legal action against her former bestie, Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star Nonku Williams, for failing to repay a substantial amount of cash she lent her.
Steyn told Media24 that Williams initially wanted to borrow R2 million, which she declined.
However, she later lent her a substantial amount of money, which, according to a signed agreement between them, was meant to be paid back within 30 days.
Steyn added that a summons is set to be issued in Nonku’s residential area of Pinetown in Durban this week.
In the comments section of a recent social media post, Steyn revealed that Williams’ reasons for borrowing the money were to pay for her house and her children’s school fees.
Responding to a follower who questioned her decision to mix money with friendship, Steyn said:
“But if your friends beg you because the bank is going to repossess the house and kids can’t go back to school because fees aren’t paid, what? You gonna say no? (sic)”
Meanwhile, Williams has been living her best life with her new love, public health specialist Lungani Ramaledi.
On Monday, 2 February, Williams posted a video of the pair entering the Media24 building in Cape Town.
Williams has not responded to Kaya 959 at the time of publishing.
