The US president lashed out on Truth Social after Noah joked about him and Jeffrey Epstein during the awards ceremony.

American president Donald Trump has come out guns blazing to hit back at South African comedian Trevor Noah for cracking a joke about him at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, held in Los Angeles on Sunday, 1 February 2026.
This follows a reference Noah made to Trump and the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while congratulating Billie Eilish on winning the Song of the Year Grammy for her track “Wildflower”.
“Song of the year, congratulations, Billie Eilish, wow. That is a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland.
Which makes sense, I mean, because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton,” Noah said.
Trump has since taken to Truth Social to slam the Grammys, dubbing them the “WORST” and “virtually unwatchable”, while disputing claims that he was ever on Epstein Island.
“Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media,” Trump wrote.
Trump also called Noah a “total loser” and urged him to get his facts straight.
“It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$.”
“Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you!” he added.
Coincidentally, Sunday marked Noah’s sixth consecutive and final time hosting the ceremony.
Meanwhile, South African singer Tyla made history by winning her second Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance for her song “PUSH 2 START”.
She is the first artist to win in the category since it was introduced by the Grammys in 2024.
