Popular Muvhango actress Milicent Makhado recently took to social media to reflect on the passing of her brother, Tshifhiwa Makhado, who died in June 2024.
“On this day last year, we lost our brother Tshifhiwa Makhado,” she wrote. “May your soul continue to rest in peace, Malome Tshifhiwa. Your nickname was Fire.”
When she first announced her brother’s passing in 2024, Milicent expressed deep disbelief and sorrow over the sudden loss, stating that it still didn’t make sense to her.
“It’s been a month since we buried you,” she shared. “It still doesn’t make sense to me that you would just fall and die just like that.”
She added, “25–29 June will never be the same again. 2024 is a horrible year for me. I’ve gained a guardian angel. May your soul continue to rest in peace, Vho~Fire. We miss you.”
Millicent Tshiwela Makhado is widely recognised for her enduring role as Agnes Mukwevho in the popular SABC 2 soap opera Muvhango.
Millicent is also a prominent voice-over artist.
