Advocate Malesela Teffo has made a public plea for people to stop accusing Kelly Khumalo of Senzo Meyiwa’s murder, a reversal from his prior statements.

Controversial Advocate Malesela Teffo has appealed to the public to cease accusing songstress Kelly Khumalo of the murder of her then-boyfriend, Senzo Meyiwa.
This comes after Teffo himself previously speculated on Khumalo’s involvement, even suggesting she accidentally shot the late Bafana Bafana goalkeeper.
Just last week, Teffo gained significant attention after claiming on the popular “Podcast and Chill” that Khumalo inadvertently shot Meyiwa with a firearm allegedly brought to the scene by Longwe Twala, Zandile Khumalo’s boyfriend at the time. Teffo was steadfast in his assertion, stating he had seen an affidavit signed by Twala at a police station that corroborated his theory.
Teffo’s comments on the podcast evidently reached Kelly Khumalo, who, in a widely circulated clip, expressed her frustration at the ongoing accusations. She challenged anyone who believed her guilty or a suspect to simply arrest her, asserting she was “not above the law.”
In a recent development, media personality Ntsiki Mazwai shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring Teffo himself advising the public to refrain from accusing Khumalo. In the video, Teffo can be seen stating,
“I want to make a plea to my countrymen and women in relation to the treatment of Ms Nonhlanhla Kelly Khumalo. I have seen that she has made an attempt to respond to what I said on ‘Podcast and Chill’; however, it was not necessary because I was not fighting.”
He further emphasised Khumalo’s crucial role in the ongoing legal proceedings.
“Kelly is a very important witness in Senzo Meyiwa’s case. We need her to testify. I’m pleading with you to refrain from attacking her and saying nasty things about her,” Teffo urged.
