Rachel Kolisi is over the moon after a recent visit to her hometown of Makhanda, formerly known as Grahamstown.
“Makanda (Grahamstown) has my heart. No matter how many donkeys, potholes, goats, and cows are around 😂
Thank you to every person who hosted me so beautifully — it was SO good to be home, even for a bit,” Rachel shared.
The former wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi looked visibly rejuvenated in the photos she posted, which included stops at her old riding club, former schools, and childhood home.

She added:
“Visited the stables where I spent years riding (Grahamstown Riding Club) and competing, my schools @vghs_2025 and Victoria Girls’ Primary School, saw some school friends, and I even managed to visit my childhood home 🥹❤️
Can’t wait to visit again in October.”
Rachel also thanked Chinese car brand Jetour South Africa, with whom she secured a new car deal last week.
“Thank you to my @jetour_south_africa fam for keeping us safe on the road,” she wrote.
In October 2024, Rachel and Siya Kolisi announced their divorce after nearly eight years of marriage.
Their split saw Rachel step down as CEO of the Kolisi Foundation at the end of February 2025, followed by her filing a complaint with the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) in March, alleging “constructive dismissal.”
She has openly shared the challenges of navigating life and motherhood after the separation.
