Rachel Kolisi has reportedly filed papers with the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) regarding her “constructive dismissal” from the Kolisi Foundation.
The Daily Maverick reports that the former wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi filed the papers with the CCMA on 25 March 2025.
The complaint states, “The applicant resigned because the employer acted unfairly and made continued employment intolerable.”
Rachel is said to be requesting to be reinstated to her position or to be compensated for the distress caused by the constructive dismissal.
This comes after the human rights NGO The Justice Desk announced Rachel’s departure as CEO of the Kolisi Foundation in February.
“Farewell for Rachel Kolisi.
“This morning, we had the privilege of joining fellow GBV organisations to surprise Rachel with a heartfelt farewell. Her unwavering support for our work, especially through the iNtsika yeThemba and Mbokodo Programs, has been truly impactful.
“We were saddened to hear that she will no longer be CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, but we know she will continue to do incredible things,” The Justice Desk said on Instagram
Neither Rachel nor the foundation have officially announced or acknowledged the news.
The Kolisi Foundation was founded by Siya and Rachel in 2019 on the eve of the Rugby World Cup final.
Sadly, in October 2024 the couple announced their separation in a joint statement on Instagram saying, “We wanted to share some important news with you. After much reflection and open conversations, we have mutually decided to end our marriage. This decision comes from a place of love, respect, and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us.”
Siya and Rachel married in 2016 after four years of dating. They share two minor children and legally adopted Siya’s two half-siblings together.
