Dr Musa Mthombeni says an “innocent” direct message he sent Liesl Laurie in 2020 turned into the romance of a lifetime.
The TV presenter, who is also a qualified doctor, says it all started when he reacted to a picture of Liesl that his friend, Dr Nokukhanya Khanyile, shared on her Instagram Story.
“One year ago on this day, the 2nd of July, my dear friend @dr_khanyile posted a picture of @liesllaurie on her IG stories. I commented on this story with a “heart-eyes emoji” and sent @dr_khanyile a voice note highlighting my utter excitement for this post.
“Within the hour I sent @liesllaurie a sweet innocent message and as they say….. the rest is history. Since that day I’ve spoken to @liesllaurie every day, throughout the day. The love of my life and future wife,” Must wrote.
Musa the breadwinner
Since announcing their engagement over a week ago, Musa and Liesl have been gushing about each other on social media nonstop.
Musa recently bagged a new TV gig and Liesl was one of the first people to congratulate him.
“This is how you rest when you know your fiancé starts a new TV show today and will now be continuing in his role of breadwinner. So proud of this man going out to work for his family! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the original BREADWINNER of the Mthombeni family,” she wrote.
Musa will be hosting a health show called, ‘Vital Signs’. He says the show combines two of his loves – medicine and television.
