By Breakfast With David Team
Kaya 959’s Breakfast show host David O’Sullivan had to talk an angry community leader in the #WestburyShutdown, Carol Sallie out of taking the law into own their own hands.
In an interview on Breakfast with David, Sallie vowed that the community would do the work of the Police as they are struggling.
Sallie also said nothing has been done in terms of visible policing and the perpetrators continued with their ways as there were shooting incidents in the area last night. she says the community will now take the law into their own hands and use mob justice. They will even kill if they have to. David O’Sullivan manages to talk her out of that and see things from a different perspective.
Police Minister Bheki Cele has visited the area twice to deal with the issues of crime as well as to visit the family of the woman who was shot and killed during gang violence.
Cele also announced that he would be deploying a special task team to patrol the streets.
Sallie says the community will now take the police to the perpetrators so that they can be arrested.
She says the community will do the work of the police because they can see that police are struggling to do it themselves
