The Sindane family has confirmed the passing of Tyra Sindane, affectionately known to many as Gogo Manzini, who died on 5 June following a short illness.
The news was shared in an official statement released by the family on Thursday morning.
“It is with profound sadness that we confirm the passing of Tyra Sindane,” the statement read.
“Tyra was a cherished friend, colleague, family member, public figure, and mom, whose presence touched the lives of so many.”
Known and loved across the country as Gogo Manzini, Tyra was widely recognised for her work as a spiritual healer and community leader.
The family reflected on her legacy, describing her as a woman defined by “her passion for healing others, unwavering kindness, dedication to her community, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.”
At this time, the family has requested privacy as they process their loss and make arrangements. Details surrounding memorial services will be shared in due course.
“We extend our deepest condolences to all who knew and loved Tyra,” the family concluded.
