One of Cape Town’s iconic township eateries, Mzoli’s Place and Butchery, closed its doors. Mzoli’s Place has become one of the many establishments in South Africa that have had to close the shop until the economy is stable. The most significant reasoning behind establishments like Mzoli’s closing down is the harsh impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mzoli’s Place, located in the heart of Gugulethu, was known for its dynamic and fun kasi vibe. The establishment was attracting trendy celebrities, influencers and international visitors.
The kasi eatery offers a good time with friends and family. Their shisanyama and sauce left many going back for more and got a nod from many well-known chefs in the country.
