American rapper and former Migos member Quavo has released a new tribute song dedicated to his nephew and band member Take Off.
The song titled “Without You” was released Wednesday evening and pays homage to the life of Take Off.
In addition to this, the newly released song also reflects on the tight knit relationship that both Quavo and Take Off had with each other.
This tribute comes a little over two months after Take Off was fatally shot in Houston,Texas on the 1st November 2022.
It has been reported that both Take Off and Quavo were playing a game of dice when an altercation broke out and someone opened fire.
Take Off was 28-years old at the time of his death.
In one line on “Without You,” Quavo reflects on the old days when they had no money and fame.
“Remember them days we ain’t have our shit together? On the Nawfside times was hard, but them days was better”.
In another line he expresses how much he misses his nephew and regretfully wishes that he could turn back the hands of time.
“I wish I had a time machine/Just so you take a ride with me/I miss just how you smile at me/Unc & Phew until infinity”.
