Hours after Beyonce announced that she will be dropping a new album next month, Drake dropped a surprise album titled Honestly Nevermind (his 7th studio album).
Apart from the fact that we have new music from Drake to listen to over the weekend, our very own Grammy-award-winning artist Black Coffee has been credited as one of the executive producers on the project alongside Drake himself and Noah 40 Shebib.
Coffee has been credited on the songs Texts Go Green with his son Esona who’s currently on tour with him, Currents where he is credited as a co-writer and co-producer, and Overdrive.
Despite enjoying great success in his career, Black Coffee believes that we are many generations behind compared to other parts of the world.
“We are generations behind and there are very few people who have the right mindset and it comes with intention. Like anything you want to work on without intention, you can’t get by. There’s a lot of work and every time I get to that thing that a lot of people call the hill I know that only my great-grandkids will get to the pinnacle,” he told Tbose during an interview My Top 10 at 10.
