Eleven days of bloodshed have come to an end after the UN declared a ceasefire between Israel and Gaza.
The European Union have welcomed the ceasefire and commends Egypt, Qatar, United Nations, United States and others who have been instrumental in ending the on-going conflict in the Gaza strip.
Since fighting started in the region at least 232 Palestinians, including 65 children were killed from Israeli attacks. While Israel reports that 12 people, including 2 children died from Hamas airstrikes.

Hungary, was the only country in the EU that declined to join the other 26 countries to support the truce.
