Andy Maqondwana asked her listeners if there’s a place or establishment that guarantees a disagreement or fight between them and their partners.
She explained that for some couples, certain locations seem to spark tension no matter what, causing arguments or silence.
“It just so happens that that particular location is always the centre of the issue, and you may or may not have had a silent agreement with your partner that, ‘you know what, either we go to this place alone or we don’t go at all,’” Andy said.
Andy gave examples that many couples can relate to.
The mall, for instance, can become a hotspot for arguments because one partner may enjoy hours of window shopping, while the other feels exhausted after a short time.
“You just know that if you go to the mall with your partner, it’s gonna be a fight, somebody is not gonna be talking to somebody because why somebody is actually kinda tired,” she said.
The gym can also be tricky because sometimes one partner assumes the role of trainer and takes things too seriously, while the other wants to work out casually.
So what is that place for you?
Feel Good listeners called in with interesting takes.
Some mentioned indecisive partners at McDonald’s, while others pointed to family gatherings as guaranteed sources of tension.
