Sara Langeveld took to Instagram to express how much she misses her late son

Two years after the passing of award-winning rapper and performer Costa Titch, his mother, Sara Langeveld, has shared a heartfelt tribute, reflecting on the pain of losing her son and the struggle of seeing him remembered more as an artist than as the person he truly was.
In an emotional Instagram post, Langeveld opened up about the toll her son’s death has taken on their family, expressing frustration at how conversations about him often focus only on his music, brand, and fame, rather than the gentle soul behind the spotlight.
I miss you more than words could ever explain. Life has been so strange and surreal since you left us. The world still sees Costa Titch everywhere, your music, your name, your image, but not many see you, the boy we knew, the gentle soul with the kind heart, that infectious laugh, and those warm hugs we miss so much.
She revealed that since his passing, several people have approached her about producing documentaries on Costa’s life, something she finds difficult to process.
It’s confusing how humans can be. People approached me wanting to make documentaries because you were kind, compassionate, and fed people who didn’t look like you. That’s just who you were. You saw people, not color. And as your mother, I now understand how heavy it must have been for you, just trying to be yourself in a world that constantly tries to put you in a box.
Costa Titch, born Constantinos Tsobanoglou, collapsed on stage in March 2023 while performing at the Ultra South Africa music festival at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg. Despite immediate medical attention, he tragically passed away.
In early 2024, his family disclosed the official cause of death: a previously undetected strain on his heart, worsened by prolonged stress and exhaustion.
