The man accused of the brutal murder of Roodepoort teenager Likhona Fose has denied any involvement in the crime.
Mduduzi Mnisi claims he was at his girlfriend Pinky’s home on the night of 31 May 2025, the day Fose was allegedly killed, which would be a violation of his parole conditions.
The 39-year-old suspect appeared before the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, for his bail application.
During proceedings, Mnisi alleged that the investigating officer in Fose’s murder case was trying to pursue a romantic relationship with his girlfriend. He pleaded not guilty, stating, “I did not do it.” He further claimed he only learned about the deceased on the day he was charged with murder.
Pinky, the accused’s girlfriend, has been added to the defense’s witness list and is scheduled to take the stand on Wednesday, 25 June 2025.
Fose’s mutilated body was discovered in a veld not far from her home in Roodepoort, sparking widespread outrage and concern.
