Sphelele Makhunga, wife of former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana captain Itumeleng Khune, recently took to social media to celebrate her husband on his 38th birthday with a heartfelt tribute.
“Happy birthday, my handsome hubby bear @itukhune32,” she wrote. “I love and appreciate the fact that we get to navigate this crazy thing called life together and with our little bears.”
She added: “We love you wholeheartedly and cannot wait to spend a million more birthdays together.”
Khune, who turned 38 on Friday, revealed that he would be celebrating his birthday in Botswana, ahead of the Clash of the Legends fixture.
He is set to represent South Africa alongside the likes of Siphiwe Tshabalala in a match against Botswana, which will take place at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana.
Outside of her role as a wife and mother, Sphelele is also a thriving businesswoman. She is the founder of Eminence, an events and décor company, as well as Eminence Florist, which supplies fresh floral arrangements for various occasions.
Sphelele and Itumeleng tied the knot in a traditional ceremony in 2019. The couple shares two daughters.
