Musicians Lwah Ndlunkulu and MaWhoo have released a new Afropop single titled “Unembeza”, marking their first official collaboration.
The song explores themes of love, accountability, and emotional vulnerability.
In the track, Lwah reflects on the experience of falling in love so deeply that it feels involuntary, describing a sense of emotional surrender.
Her lyrics suggest that when mistakes occur, it is the voice of conscience, or “Unembeza”, that serves as a guiding force.
MaWhoo contributes a verse that begins with an apology for moving too quickly in relationships but frames it as a natural response to love.
Her verse adds another perspective to the song’s exploration of emotional honesty and personal responsibility.
Both artists have previously worked on high-profile collaborations within the Maskandi and Afropop space.
Lwah featured on Mthandeni SK’s single “Paris”, while MaWhoo appeared on “Gucci”, also with Mthandeni SK.
“Unembeza” blends Afropop with subtle traditional elements and lyrical storytelling.
The song is available on all streaming platforms.
In 2022, Lwah Ndlunkulu, a rising star at the time, joined My Top 10 at 10 with Tbose to chat about her success in the music industry and dropping out of High School.
