Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema today paid his respects to the family of the late actor Presley Chweneyagae at their home in Orchards, Pretoria North.
Malema remembered Chweneyagae as a remarkably talented individual and a humble role model who consistently treated others with respect.
Chweneyagae, widely celebrated for his compelling performances, passed away last Tuesday at the age of 40.
His untimely death has sent shockwaves through the South African entertainment industry.
Just yesterday, industry colleagues, friends, family, and members of the public gathered in Mmabatho, North West, for a memorial service to celebrate his life and contributions.

Speaking to the media after his visit, Malema expressed his condolences to Chweneyagae’s mother and wife.
“Presley has been a good actor and put SA on an international map when Tsotsi won an award internationally.
“When a brother like that passes on, especially at the age of 40, it should be a concern to us to come and hear from the family as to what happened.
“He was a very good role model who showed talent and his interaction with people,” said Malema.
Chweneyagae’s passing marks a significant loss for the South African arts community, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional talent and a reputation for humility.
