Over the past few months, American actress Chloe Bailey has been spotted in South Africa on several occasions, sparking speculation about the reason for her visit.
On Saturday, Bailey finally let the cat out of the bag regarding her trip to South Africa. The 26-year-old star shared on social media that she had been in the country filming a movie, which she has now wrapped up.
“In case you’ve been wondering what I’ve been up to… I’ve been filming a movie in South Africa for two months and I just wrapped tonight!!!” she wrote.
Bailey revealed that she poured “so much love, blood, sweat, and tears” into her character.
She also expressed her gratitude to @shermayb, saying, “I am so grateful. Thank you God. Truly proud of the work, can’t wait to tell you all about it.”
Cape Town has become a favoured destination for many US productions. Recently, Anthony Anderson and Viola Davis also spent time in South Africa shooting their new film G20.
Chloe Bailey (born 1 July 1998, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and one-half of the musical duo Chloe x Halle, alongside her sister Halle Bailey.
In recent years, Chloe has embarked on a successful solo career, releasing singles such as Have Mercy (2021), Treat Me (2022), and her debut solo album In Pieces (2023).
She has earned recognition as a solo artist, including an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie, Limited Series or Dramatic Special for her role in the film Praise This.
As an actress, Chloe is also known for her role as Jazz Forster in the Freeform series Grown-ish (2018–2022) and has appeared in productions such as Praise This (2023) and the series Swarm (2023).
