Rooted in his annual studio camp in Durban, the project is a vibrant collaboration of some of the country’s most exciting voices and producers, coming together for a weekend of creativity.
While Thukzin initially rose to fame for his contributions to the Gqom movement, 031 Studio Camp Vol. 2 sees him leaning further into Afrotech and Afro House.
The 8-track EP brings a strong lineup of featured artists, including Zeh McGeba, Nkosazana Daughter, Zee Nxumalo, Limit Nala, and more.
Long-time collaborators Skillz and MK Productions return to the fold, helping to ensure the consistent quality and infectious groove that fans have come to love.
“It’s a project that shows where we are with our sound right now,” says Thukzin. “It’s about working with the people I trust and creating music that feels good and real.”
