American rapper and philanthropist Ja Rule has marked a significant milestone with the official commissioning of a newly constructed six-unit classroom block in Nuaso, a town in the Eastern region of Ghana.
This project represents the culmination of his dedicated philanthropic efforts in the region, bringing much needed educational resources to the local community.
The project, undertaken in partnership with the non-profit organisation Pencils of Promise, aims to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for the students of Nuaso Anglican Primary School.
For years, students faced challenges due to inadequate classroom space, which forced them to use a shift system.
The new classroom block will alleviate overcrowding and provide a more stable educational setting.
During his visit to Ghana, Ja Rule emphasised his commitment to education, stating that it goes beyond simply providing buildings. He highlighted the importance of incorporating activities like sports and the arts to foster well rounded development in students.
