Rachel Kolisi has stepped down as CEO of the Kolisi Foundation.
Human rights non-profit organisation The Justice Desk posted the news of Rachel’s departure from the Kolisi Foundation on social media.
The Justice Desk also posted pictures of Rachel’s departure on their Instagram feed.
“Farewell for Rachel Kolisi.
“This morning, we had the privilege of joining fellow GBV organisations to surprise Rachel with a heartfelt farewell. Her unwavering support for our work, especially through the iNtsika yeThemba and Mbokodo Programs, has been truly impactful.
“We were saddened to hear that she will no longer be CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, but we know she will continue to do incredible things,” wrote The Justice Desk.
Siya and Rachel Kolisi established the Siya Kolisi Foundation, which formally began operations in 2020.
It was founded with the intention of tackling inequality in South Africa, especially following the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
The foundation works to address structural problems in order to build vibrant communities.
The foundation is still actively working in 2025.
Rachel’s departure coincides with her pending divorce from Siya, which the couple made public in October 2024.
In addition to raising Siya’s younger siblings, Liyema and Liphelo, the couple has two children together, Nicholas and Keziah.
