According to reports, the man was arrested by Johannesburg metro police who were conducting patrols in the area. The police noticed that the man resembles one of the club’s bouncers seen in the videos.
“We can confirm that this suspect was arrested in Yeoville with assistance and collaboration with JMPD on Thursday evening just after 10 pm. He was identified by this group of officers while he conducting patrols. They could identify him from some of the videos that had been circulating,” said National police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe.
