In May last year, Misuzulu paid 15 cows and an undisclosed amount of money to secure Myeni as his third bride.
There was also an exchange of gifts including blankets (Umembeso) with his in-laws in Pongola.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Misuzulu has filed for divorce from one of his wives citing the breakdown of their marriage as the reason.
In the court papers filed at the Pietermaritzburg High Court, the king offers maintenance of R20 000 a month for a year after the divorce is finalised.
The identity of the wife has been withheld to protect the identity of their children.
King Misuzulu’s first wife is Queen Nontokozo kaMayisela and his second wife is Queen Nozizwe Mulela kaMakhubu who hails from the Kingdom of eSwatini.
This is allegedly the first time in history that a Zulu king has divorced a wife.
