Veteran Zimbabwean-born South African actor Luthuli Dlamini has dismissed rumours suggesting he is broke and homeless. In response to the speculation, Dlamini shared a video on social media where he appeared to be handwashing clothes, a gesture many interpreted as him being in character.
He began by thanking those who had expressed concern and offered assistance. “First, I thank everyone who has shown support for me, everyone who has offered me a house to live in, someone who has offered me their spare room. I really appreciate that.”
Dlamini firmly denied the claims, stating, “I just want to dispel all of those concerns about me being homeless. I’m not homeless, not at all. I am living in a beautiful place in Durban, lots of sunshine. I’m happy. I’m fine. I’m good.”
He urged people to verify their sources before spreading unverified information, adding, “Be sure of your sources of information. Don’t compromise your integrity for 15 cheap minutes of fame. To be continued,” hinting at possibly addressing the matter further.
