Sports, Arts, and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie has announced a generous giveaway of 1,000 free tickets for two major upcoming events: the Chris Brown concert and Makhadzi’s One Woman Show.
McKenzie revealed that 500 tickets have been allocated for Chris Brown’s highly anticipated concert, taking place on Saturday, 14 December, and Sunday, 15 December. The remaining 500 tickets will be given out for Makhadzi’s event, scheduled for Saturday, 21 December.
In a video shared on social media, McKenzie expressed his enthusiasm for bringing joy to South Africans:
“I’m not just the minister of sports, arts, and culture. I’m the minister of happiness. Starting tomorrow morning (Friday), we’ll begin with Chris Brown. We are giving away 500 tickets. Some will go to children in orphanages and others to those in need because I am the minister of happiness,” he said.
The gesture aims to make these high-profile events accessible to fans who might not otherwise afford to attend, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds.
