Old Mutual introduced a new mobile data plan on Monday that is especially intended to meet the demands of those with lower incomes.
The Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) service seeks to close the digital gap by giving a larger range of people access to a reasonably priced internet connection.
Their goal is to offer lower-class consumers competitive bundles. The primary supplier of these services in South Africa, Cell C, will share a network with its MVNO.
“The launch of the MVNO service − which will be known as Old Mutual Connect − is part of our integrated financial services strategy to deliver tangible value-added services to our customers.
“Affordable data and reliable connectivity are critical for our customers in the mass market to fully participate in the mainstream economy.
