Longwe and Sello Twala, the sons of famed singer and producer Sello “Chicco” Twala, were detained for theft over the weekend, their father announced on Monday.
On Tuesday morning, Gauteng police spokesperson Lt-Col Mavela Masondo stated “A popular South African musician and producer opened a case of theft against his two sons after they allegedly stole several items from his house.
“The suspects, who are aged 34 and 39, are expected to appear before Randburg magistrate’s court on Tuesday, facing a charge of theft.”
In a statement, Chicco Twal confirmed that when he was in the USA his son Longwe and his brother Sello Twala colluded and stole my equipment from his studio

A case was opened at the Douglasdale Police Station. Longwe was arrested in January 2020 for theft after reportedly stealing a cellphone. A video surfaced on social media supposedly showed Chicco accompanying Longwe to the Diepkloof police station in Soweto.
