South African entrepreneur Lekau Sehoana recently shared that the shack he grew up in Tembisa was broken into.
This unfortunate event occurred shortly after he opened a pop-up store to commemorate the fifth anniversary of his DRIP sneaker brand.
Lekau said that he had a feeling that the break-in might happen, which is why he left some books in the shack.
On his 34th birthday two years ago, Lekau reflected on how far he’d come.
He shared an image of his warehouse from back in the day. He said that at the time he had no cars and employees – it was just him and his stock.
“On this Birthday, I’d like to look back at where we come from. So that we don’t go back again.”
Lekau hoped that by sharing his story, he could inspire those looking up to him to know that it is possible. “It takes just one day of deciding that you’re starting and you’ll do it.”
