South African actress and influencer Farieda Metsileng, best known to her fans as Pharoahfi recently joined My Top 10 at 10 with Tbose for an exclusive sit down.
During the chat, Metsileng shared a story about her first paycheck, which she received as a teenager while interning at a production company.
“I was interning at a production company. I was like nineteen and was a freelancer,” she said.
“As a freelancer, I got paid R5000. From that 5k I got taxed 25 percent. Essentially I got around R1000.”
Because she could buy food and snacks on credit at her workplace, by the time she got paid, she was already on a minus.
“Where I worked you could order food/snacks on credit. By the time I got my pay check my bill was sitting on a thousand rand. At the end of the day, all I had was taxi money.”
Additionally, Pharoahfi had a shopping addiction. “I also had this bad habit of shopping. Everything that my heart desired I’d go and buy,” she said.
