Vusi Nova has reportedly rubbished reports that Zahara’s family has been selling the late singer’s belongings.
This after reports by Sunday World claimed Zahara’s sisters were circulating the Loliwe hitmaker’s luxury furniture items on WhatsApp.
The publication claimed that Zahara’s awards were also up for sale and that her family listed other valuable items from Zahara’s house because they needed the money.
According to TshisaLive, Vusi Nova who was Zahara’s closest friend, rubbished reports that her belongings were being sold and called for people to respect the late singer and allow her to rest in peace.
Vusi Nova confirmed that Zahara’s Roodepoort house has been let go as it was too costly.
“It is untrue that the family is selling the furniture and awards, I mean who’ll buy those family treasures (awards) and how will they be sold? No, people must respect her and let her rest in peace.
It’s difficult, but it’s what it is. With regards to the house, we tried to keep it but it was costly just to maintain it and so we just had to let it go. Our relationship day-to-day, I’m always there for them. I’ve been assisting them and will continue doing that.”
In 2022, Zahara almost lost her home which was set to be auctioned after she failed to make the monthly repayments on her R1.9 million Roodepoort home.
Zahara was hospitalised last year over complications with her liver, and passed on 11 December in hospital.
