Anonymous has a marriage proposal she is contemplating, but something is unsettling about the decision considering that the father of his child has not made his current wife know about it.
She reached out to The Best T in The City with her dilemma, saying that he has known him since she was 16 years old, and is really considering the proposal, but her issues include their belief systems and the matter of how this will play out with the wife in the picture.
“I have a marriage proposal: I’m a widow, it’s been 4yr and I have 3 kids. I had a child before getting married. After my hubby passed on, my baby daddy came to propose marriage, even though he is still married.
When I was 16yrs he, baby daddy, proposed marriage and my dad refused. Then I fell pregnant at 21, he proposed and bought me a car and a house, but this time I refused. He just couldn’t let go of me cos even when I try to engage about our daughter, he will off-ramp and remind me how I left him and he is hurt, so I made sure during my marriage we didn’t talk at all. He was supporting our daughter via my mom. When I was getting married he called to ask me to break it off I didn’t. He later got married.
After my hubby’s death, my exes wife called me provoked by how he is now full force on taking care of our daughter, and she told me where to get off even though I didn’t do anything, proving again that her husband is after me. I respected her and just said “Ok Ma’am”, I even showed her the messages to prove who is saying what to whom and for her to check my responses. I don’t want her hubby.
After this baby daddy came to my house asking to take care of me and my kids fully. (Well he is taking care of his child like a Queen and his kids in his marriage so well, I’m not complaining), he says he wants to buy us a house relocate me, and from rent out my current house (for extra income). But he has one condition, that I become his second wife. I’m not financially stable since hubby passed on and he has been adding more money to his daughter’s money to also take care of my kids consistently. I’m self-employed and some months are bad. I said NO still.
I’m afraid of his wife to be honest, and I feel she will be hurt should I accept his proposal. Honestly, I’m beginning to develop a thing for him the way he is so caring and determined. He is such a man, what he says he does and he has never wavered from his intentions for me, he has always been mature. My father said no because he is 10 years older. He is a traditionalist though, and am Christian, this made us fight most times. His offer and consistency is tempting. Do I tell the wife what is going on? Do I also reveal how am feeling recently?”
