South African media personality and businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize, also known as Mamkhize, recently celebrated her 49th birthday, and her family made sure to show her lots of love.
A video circulating on social media shows a friend of Mamkhize entering her bedroom to wish her a happy birthday. Fans couldn’t help but admire how luxurious Mamkhize’s bedroom looked.
Mama Joy Chauke, who is a Royal AM ambassador, gave her boss a thoughtful birthday gift to express her gratitude. Mama Joy also shared her appreciation for Mamkhize.
“To my mother, Ma’Mkhize, I love you, mama. You are always there for me when I go to the national teams, whether it’s New Zealand, Australia, or anywhere. I always write you a note to say, Ma, I’m going to this place, and then you give me some blessings. You’ll say to me, good luck Banyana or good luck Bafana.
“On that note I bought you these socks with a South African flag for your birthday, to say happy birthday, I love you, mama. I love you for loving South Africa because you always ask me, how are they playing? Are they winning? Thank you ma, I love you.”
Mama Joy
Mama Joy became popular as one of Orlando Pirates’ biggest supporters. She ended her 32-year relationship with the club three years ago to join Mamkhize’s Royal AM.
“Dear South Africans, I am here today to tell you that I’m leaving Orlando Pirates, hard as it is, I’m going to Royal AM,” said Mama Joy in an interview with Newzroom Afrika.
“So, from today, no Buccaneer but ‘Her Majesty’, I am Royal.”
“I decided to join Royal AM for me to support MaMkhize. You know MaMkhize, you remember the last time when she was in GladAfrica Championship and she wanted to come to the PSL… On the last day, they said, ‘no, Sekhukhune have qualified and you are going to the play-offs’.
“It was hard for me as a woman to see another woman suffer because you can see how she does things,” continued Chauke.
“MaMkhize loves football. It pained me to see her being hurt like that. At the end of the day, she managed to buy Bloemfontein Celtic.
“And I was surprised, and I said to myself, ‘MaMkhize really wanted to play in the PSL’, and she did exactly that,” she added.
