The Electoral Commission has compiled the 2024 Election Timetable for South Africa as outlined in the infographic above.
In accordance with the Electoral Act, 1998 the timetable accommodates the National Assembly and the Provincial Legislatures, both of which take place on 29 May.
The Chief Electoral Officer had until 26 February to give notice of the periods during which the venues where the provisionally compiled voters roll for the election shall be available for inspection in terms of section 14(2)(e).
Voting stations will be inspected after the 12 April once notice of all addresses have been submitted.
Cut-off dates for notifications and applications to vote outside of South Africa will need to take place by the 22 April.
