Wendy Williams has been diagnosed with dementia.
The medical team of former TV talk show host and shock jock Wendy Williams revealed that she has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia.
The illness known as aphasia is characterized by impairments in speaking, writing, and understanding language.
It was announced in 2022 that her syndicated daytime talk show would be ending after 13 years on TV due to her ongoing health struggles.

Williams, 59, was diagnosed with the illness last year, and her team stated in a news release on Thursday that the illness has already “presented significant hurdles in Wendy’s life.”
“Wendy is still able to do many things for herself, most importantly she maintains her trademark sense of humor and is receiving the care she requires to make sure she is protected and that her needs are addressed.”
There’s been an outpouring of messages from her fans across the world. One fan shared a clip from a recent documentary “Where is Wendy” on Lifetime, where Blac Cyna had an emotional moment with Williams.
