This week, South African media personality Lerato Kganyago opened up about her recent painful miscarriage, reportedly the fifth pregnancy loss she has endured.
Shortly after opening up about her loss, Kganyago mentioned that she had not intended to discuss her recent miscarriage on social media.
Kganyago expressed feeling upset that some people shared something so personal without her consent, leading her to reveal something she is still trying to come to terms with.
“I had not been planning to share what happened, but it saddens me that some people saw it fit to disclose what doesnt need to appear in the public realm. As a result I was forced to divulge something I am still finding a way to make peace with. Thank you for the calls and messages, your love and support has been incredibly comforting.”

In the wake of Kganyago’s revelation, 959 Breakfast discussed the sharing of extremely personal details on social media. They asked listeners to also opine and enquired about how much of their personal lives they share on social media platforms.
