An anonymous listener shares that she has just received the opportunity of a lifetime overseas. The job requires her to relocate abroad for at least six months, and she’ll be compensated generously. However, her husband has threatened to move on if she decides to take it. Understandably, anonymous is frustrated with her husband, as she’ll only be away for six months. Seeking guidance, she reached out to The Best T in the City with Tbose, hoping to uncover any blind spots she might be missing.
“Uncle T, I got a good job offer overseas for 6 months. I should start work in June, and I will be back next year in January. This is such a good opportunity for me, and I will be making a lot of money in just the six months I will be away. However, my husband is not having it. He says I can’t just get up and go, leaving him with the kids. He also says I can get the same opportunity right here at home, and I just need to keep searching.
“However, what hurt me the most was when he said, Should I go, then I must not expect him to be waiting around for me. I honestly feel hubby is being unfair. It is just six months, and our families are available 24/7 to help with the kids. Should I just go and deal with the consequences when I get back, or should I rather stay put for the sake of my family? What could be my blind spot?”
