South African actor Oros Mampofu has written a heartfelt message to his younger self.
“A message to the child within. You were soft, you were kind, you were patient, and for everything you endured, I am proud of you,” he expressed, adding that he now has the opportunity to do what is right by himself.
He added, “I promise I’ll stand up for you, I’ll protect you, and I’ll always remember you. Proud of you Oros… Enkosi.”
Oros Mampofu and Bianca Carmichael welcomed their second child in November last year.
Usually, within the first few months after giving birth, some women experience hair loss. This is because, during pregnancy, hormones cause hair to be thicker and fuller.
Once those hormones level out, the body naturally sheds the excess hair. Because his partner Bianca was experiencing this phase of her post-partum journey, Oros shaved his head to show her support.
“A fresh start,” posted Bianca. “Postpartum hair loss is a real thing in my life. Parts of my head were bald so I had to cut my hair, and this sweet man of mine also went bald to make me feel better. Love you man.”
