Rumours about President Ramaphosa’s health has been marked false, and South Africa’s Head of State has not been hospitalised.
Ramaphosa’s spokesperson Vincent Magwenya shared in an update on Sunday evening, 07 January 2024, after rumours took off that the President had to be urgently hospitalised.
Magwenya said Ramaphosa merely decided to spend the rest of his Sunday at home ahead of a busy week.
“A malicious rumour has been doing the rounds about the President’s health and that he has been hospitalised.
The President is fine, he was never hospitalised, and there was no emergency. He attended a meeting and decided to spend the rest of the day at home ahead of a busy week.”
