Gauteng Premier David Makhura is concerned about the safety of patients after a fire reignited at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg.
Makhura has arrived at the facility where firefighters are battling to contain ablaze. Emergency personnel have been working overnight to douse the flames that were ignited late yesterday evening.

The fire initially broke out in the morning after a dispensary was set alight, burning surgical and medical items, including Personal Protective Equipment.
A spokesperson for the premier Vuyo Mhaga, says Makhura will also assess the extent of the damage caused by the fire.
Meanwhile the City of Johannesburg says firefighters are battling the fire externally after the level above the store room collapsed.
City of Johannesburg spokesperson Synock Matobako says about 60 firefighters are on the scene.
