One suspect has been arrested after 33 human trafficking victims were rescued from a Boksburg home on Sunday, 03 December.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said the rescue was made after KwaZulu-Natal police traced a suspect in connection to a kidnapping case, which involved a foreign national.
The 33 suspected human trafficing victims, all male were found crowded in a room inside the house in Boksburg.
One suspect has been arrested, and investigations into the possible trafficking are underway.
Ages of the victims have not been confirmed, and the victims’ nationality is not known.
The suspect is expected to appear in court this week.
