This comes after COPE leader Mosioua Lekota declared on Monday of last week that Makhubele’s membership had been terminated.
According to Lekota, COPE had joined the SA Rainbow Alliance (Sara), a recently established coalition, without the leadership’s consent.
The coalition government led by the ANC, EFF, and PA determined that Arnolds should take over as speaker since the role is designated for a minority bloc.
