
Sibanye-Stillwater miner who stabbed colleague appears in court.
The Westonaria Magistrate’s Court is hearing the case of a 43-year-old man who is accused of fatally stabbing a coworker.
Both the suspect and the victim were employed at the Sibanye Stillwater mine. After fatally stabbing his colleague at their West Rand hostel, the suspect was taken into custody on Friday.

Over the weekend, a video of the attack went viral on social media. The man brandishing a knife is then shown posing from every angle and even taking a few selfies in the photos and video.
In a statement released by Sibanye-Stillwater, they expressed their shock about the incident.
“Sibanye-Stillwater is deeply shocked by the tragic incident which occurred between two of our employees outside of our Lesedi Residence at our Kloof operations yesterday.
“Our immediate concern is for the families of the employees and the people who witnessed this tragic event,” said in a statement.
The deceased looks to have suffered serious cuts to his stomach and several lacerations to his neck.

Additionally, a tiny knife is seen lying on the man’s dissected stomach. Unverified stories claim that the man also consumed some of his victim’s intestines.
