The song “Empini” by singer Kelly Khumalo has received over 15 million views on YouTube.
Khumalo who recently made headlines for being dropped from the event line-ups as the trial into the October 2014 murder of her then-boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa continues in the North Gauteng High Court continues to amass massive views on music platforms.
Most recently social media rumors that Kelly Khumalo and Zandile Khumalo-Gumede had struck an R22 million contract with Netflix to create a docuseries about Senzo Meyiwa were refuted by the streaming service.
The song ‘Empini’ is about persevering against all odds, a true testament to Khumalo’s journey.

After the song’s introduction in 2020, Empini gained popularity in South Africa. The singer also expressed her gratitude to her fans and followers for their love and support. She penned:
