Zoleka Mandela’s memorial service and funeral have been released by the family.
The funeral arrangements for author and activist Zoleka Mandela, who passed away from cancer on Monday, September 25 at the age of 43, have been made public by the Mandela family.
Communities close and far were shocked to hear of Zoleka Mandela’s passing.
She left this world surrounded by the affection and warmth of her loved ones who had supported her on her amazing journey.
She is mourned by her four children; her only son Zwelami (born in 2003), her daughters Zanyiwe (born in 2014), Zenzile (born in 2019) and Zingce Zobuhle Mandela (born in 2022).

Her memorial service will take place on Thursday at the Mandela Family home, and her funeral will be at the Bryanston Methodist Church on Friday 29th September.

Presidency expresses condolences to the Mandela family
On Wednesday Presidential spokesperson, Vincent Magwenya, extended the Presidency’s sincerest condolences to the Mandela family.
“As the Presidency, we add our sincerest condolences to the sympathies expressed by many individuals and organisations at the passing of Ms Zoleka Mandela.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Ms Mandela, who has passed away at an age that has deprived all of us of benefiting from the full potential of her charismatic and creative commitment to a diversity of social causes and campaigns,” Magwenya said.
