We’re well aware that public transport can humble you, and after the passenger on a Delta Airlines flight experiencing a case of explosive diarrhea on a flight to Spain, one can agree, commuting is not for the faint-hearted.
As stressful as it already is to make use of public transport, the unpredictability of schedules, safety, are all factors which can lead you to forgetting your valuables inside public transport.
DJ Keyez spoke about how people are always losing luggage, pets or other priceless items on flights.
This after videos of a woman’s dog went missing on a flight, after crew placed her beloved pet in the plane’s cargo.
Many listeners came forward to share that they too have lost things while using public transport, and were not as lucky as Skhumba who had his possessions returned safely to him.
Skhumba shared how he had once forgotten his laptop, bag and money inside an Uber, thinking that he will never see his stuff again.
“It was bad, I tried to call the Uber driver to try to get my stuff back but couldn’t trace him. I was stressed, my laptop, and the bag itself was expensive. The cost for those things was high. Forget about the money that was inside.
Three weeks later, I was doing an interview on radio, because I was doing a show in Durban, and the Uber driver called in.
He said, ‘hey Skhumba I have your bag,’ and he took the bag to the radio station, my manager called me, I said give him back the bag, and give me his number.
I called the guy and told him to keep it safe until I come to Durban, when I get to Durban I called him, he came to the hotel with my bag, laptop, money, everything still inside.
After that, I was like, yeah sometimes you have people who are trustworthy. I was so grateful.”
