These Home Affairs offices will be open on Saturday.
There is a backlog of the collection of smart ID cards and passports and the Department of Home Affairs is making efforts to reduce it.
In order to expand access to services, particularly for clients who are unable to visit their offices during business hours, the Department of Home Affairs continues to open a few offices on Saturdays.

Certain offices are covered by the extended service, and on Saturday, August 12, 2023, the following offices will be open from 8 am to 1 pm:
- The new Home Affairs Menlyn (Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, Pretoria, Gauteng);
- Mmabatho Office (Motswedi House, Dr James Moroka Dr, Montshiwa Unit 2, North West)
- and Mankwe Office (3, Mogwase Complex, Station Road, Mogwase, North West).
The Department of Home Affairs has said that it will communicate when other offices will be open on various Saturdays.
“Service to be offered is collection of smart ID cards and passports. The department will communicate when various offices will open on Saturdays. We encourage clients to take advantage of the extended hours on Saturdays to collect documents they have applied for.” said the Department
